COMET VIEWING TIPS
- Dark skies essential - light pollution kills comet tails

- Look for fuzzy "star" that doesn't twinkle
- Tail always points away from Sun
- Check updates - brightness can change rapidly
- Early morning often better (less atmosphere)
COMET FACTS
- Made of ice, dust, rock - "dirty snowballs"
- Tail can stretch millions of miles
- Two tails: dust (curved) and ion (straight)
- New comets from Oort Cloud can appear anytime
